The Heart Behind Ohana

For Suzanne, sewing has never been just a career—it has been a lifelong calling.

Raised by a talented seamstress, she grew up sitting beside her mother, watching, learning, and falling in love with the artistry of creating garments long before most children could thread a needle. By the time she was a young bride herself, Suzanne had saved enough money to purchase the fabric for her own wedding gown, then designed and hand-sewed the dress she wore on her wedding day. That same passion led her to become the owner of Suzanne’s Bridal Boutique, where she spent decades helping generations of Arizona brides find confidence through impeccable craftsmanship and heartfelt care. Today, after more than 45 years in the bridal industry and over 40,000 expertly fitted and altered gowns, Suzanne’s hands, heart, and experience continue to shape every bride’s journey at Ohana Bridal.

Beyond the sewing room, Suzanne and her husband have spent decades writing and creating music together, a reflection of the creativity and love that have always guided her life. Throughout her career, she has built lasting friendships across Arizona’s wedding community and has had the incredible privilege of helping not only brides, but in many cases, the daughters of brides she once served years before. Inspired by her love for KauaĘ»i and the Hawaiian spirit of ohana—meaning family—she created Ohana Bridal as a place where every bride feels welcomed, celebrated, and genuinely cared for. For Suzanne, every gown tells a story, every fitting is personal, and every bride who walks through the doors becomes part of the Ohana family. It’s a craft she has devoted her life to, and one she feels honored to continue every single day.
